Mission Statement

Our mission at ETCADA is to reduce substance abuse and dependency within our East Texas communities.


DWI Intervention

A mandated, comprehensive program designed for individuals who commit repeat DWI offenses.

8 weeks (15 Session) State Certified Course

Advance enrollment required

Fee:  Must be paid in full 3 business days prior to beginning of course - $350 money order or credit card (Master Card or Visa).  NOTE: We do not accept personal checks or cash. A $30.00 fee will be charged for lost certificates.  Make up class fee must be pre-paid in full prior to scheduled make up class - $100 money order or credit card (Master Card or Visa).

Time: 2:00p.m. – 5:00 p.m., two (2) afternoons per week - Tuesday & Thursday

Must attend all 15 sessions to receive required certificate

Participant must have family member or significant other attend sessions 9 & 10.

Outreach, Screening, Referral, and Assessment (OSAR) Program

The OSAR program provides screenings, assessments and referral services to Texas residents seeking assistance to treatment for substance use disorders.

Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI) evaluation

SASSI screenings and assessments also offered for court compliances.


The Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory (SASSI) evaluation will be administered to those as required by the criminal justice system. Determination will be made if further screening or referral is appropriate.

Choices & Consequences of Substance Abuse Education Class

A 2-week, curriculum-based program designed to help the alcohol/drug abuser understand the disease of addiciton. Provided monthly.

Minors in Possession of Alcohol (MIP)

Court ordered classes provided for minors who are found to be in possession of alcohol. MIP provides accurate information to young people about the consequences (physical, emotional, social, and legal) of underage drinking.

Choices For Adolescents (CA)

4 hour course provided for minors. This is currently a pilot program.
