Awareness

ETCADA is the Region 4 and Region 5 Naloxone Hub!

Naloxone Awareness

Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose within minutes. It works by quickly attaching to opioid receptors in the brain and blocking the harmful effects of drugs like heroin, fentanyl, oxycodone, hydrocodone, codeine, and morphine.

These services are available to residents of all counties in Region 4 and Region 5. At ETCADA, we equip communities to save lives by training people how to recognize an overdose and use Naloxone effectively. We also provide free Narcan, a common form of Naloxone, so it’s ready when it’s needed most.
